Throughout the semester, I was able to develop my writing in multiple aspects. At the beginning of the semester, I had many doubts about how to structure academic papers like research essays, but with each major project, I was able to solve my doubts and understand what each essay consisted of. On the other hand, the topic that helped me the most to structure my essay logically and with enough arguments to validate my thesis statement, this topic was in which we discussed the different rhetorical devices ethos, logos, and pathos.With these tools, you can do a more in-depth analysis of the articles that are going to support your essay. This was one of the mistakes that I generally made because usually, I just give a general idea of ​​what the article is about, but I don’t give enough examples and arguments to support my essay. To conclude, I consider that all the projects that I did throughout the semester helped me to strengthen different aspects of my writing and to be able to use different tools that will help me. 

In this fourth project I plan to use a video but I’m still not sure if I’m going to make an animation or a video that contains the most relevant news related to my topic. With that said, my intended audience is those interested in the effects of war on the economy since my essay is closely related to this. This is why my purpose with this multimodal recast is for my audience to reflect and understand the effects of war today and understand how the economy can be manipulated for the benefit of a few. Some of the arguments that I will use are:

1. The man is self-destructive and is aware of the murder he is committing
2.  Belligerency is something unstoppable, and it will continue no matter what
3. War is a profitable business that contributes to sustaining the current capitalist and patriarchal system
4. One of the main problems in society is the absent participation of active and critical citizens since it is essential to demand respect for human rights in all places
5. Of the world, citizens must promote new models of regulation that are more sustainable and respectful for all people
6. Society must awaken and demand the compliance of the essential element that is acquired at birth, human rights, to be fulfilled

I believe that the world does not currently have sufficient technological resources to implement a cure for coronavirus through artificial intelligence. So not, in my opinion, I consider that at this time, the world is not prepared to implement artificial intelligence as a solution to the problems that are occurring right now.

I do not consider it ethical to compel people to hand over their information and to be tracked by the government. In my opinion, finding a health emergency does not mean that governments have the right to take advantage of what is happening right now.

My thoughts did not change drastically in the different topics that I chose since I always had a mentality of what could happen with each topic. In my first essay (rhetorical essay), I consider that it was difficult since I had never done one, at the beginning I wasn’t sure how to correctly implement the rhetorical devices but going to the writing center helped me a lot since it allowed me to understand better them. In the second essay, I considered that I fulfilled the expectations of what I thought as I managed to develop the arguments in a way in which each article was explained and gave support to thesis. Finally, I considered that my new topic has a lot to talk about, and I am going to be able to explain the multiple points of view that I have in mind. On the other hand, since this essay can be supported by six different articles, this will give me the opportunity to explain better why war is a business that can affect thousands of people.

I would feel uncertain about not being present in classes because i feel that I would spend much more time studying the topics that were not explained in class. Moreover, I am not a person who likes to study online because I like to ask and have contact with the professors and solve my doubts based on the topics. Moreover, I wouldn’t like to finish this semester online because I will rather be in class.

Yes, this would be my first year voting, but I don’t feel excited about the elections because none of the candidates presented good proposals and policies that are going to generate change. On the other hand, I wouldn’t reelect the current president since I did not see greater compliance in his proposals, and I do not like what he is proposing for the elections of this period.

In my rhetorical essay, I consider that I increase my knowledge of the diseases that affect people psychologically, thanks to fame. Still, in my research essay, I plan to use another topic that can be supported by economic theories, evidence, and events that can show more clearly how the war economy can become very favorable for a country. On the other hand, one of my main questions is, why does war produce thousands of deaths, but still, it continues? With this question, I seek to emphasize the most important socio-economic concepts that answer this question.

One of my main arguments is, Why the production of weapons of mass destruction (nuclear weapons) is allowed if we know that it can affect many people. I think this is an excellent way to attract people’s attention because this is a controversial topic and captures the attention of people. For this reason, I consider that I would need authority and statistical argument because I need to support the trial with reliable sources. That is why I believe that the statistical argument is the most beneficial since this one addresses with statistics and acts.

The article “Why America needs war” from global research discusses why governments increase the budgets of the army and the armed forces if there is no need. It also refers to the main reasons why war is a business. This article emphasizes the figures for the increase and decrease in the arms budget of the United States and two other countries and demonstrates how to increase the GDP of a country simply by establishing a war policy since this increases the production of weapons and thus enhances a massive industry.

With my rhetorical essay, I consider that I had done very well since I have been able to correctly develop my ideas related to what each article is communicating. I think one of the questions I have left is whether each paragraph is very long or not because as it is a 1500 word essay, I don’t know if each paragraph is too long or short. Overall I think the essay is ready to be published, and I just need the peer review.

I think that it is a disadvantage that people are not able to visualize objects. Still, I do not consider it to be a disability since people can survive without a problem because this does not limit them to perform any action. If I could talk to a person who has this disability, I would ask him how he feels and if he thinks this is a disease
